Franklin city councilor arrested on suspicion of DUI

FRANKLIN, Ind. — A Franklin City Council member and deputy prosecutor was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Andrew Eggers, 32, was pulled over around 2 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Jefferson Street and U.S. 31.

According to the police report, an officer with the Franklin Police Department pulled Eggers over after he failed to signal for a turn.
