Goshen church passes vote to allow same-sex marriages

Goshen, IN – Faith leaders at a Goshen church have voted to allow and perform same-sex marriage ceremonies.

According to our reporting partner at Goshen News, pastors of Goshen City Church of the Brethren voted on the matter Sunday morning.

More than 75 percent of the congregation voted “yes” in support.

A spokesperson for the congregation says the vote came after a year-and-a-half of intensive study, discussion and prayer.

Now if disciplinary actions is taken by the Northern Indiana District Church of the Brethren, the congregation says they stand by their co-pastors.
