IMS to consider allowing live broadcasts of Indy 500 if race sells out

SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Those in central Indiana might be able to watch the Indianapolis 500 live on television after all.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials discussed lifting the media blackout Monday, ultimately deciding not to so long as unsold tickets remain, reports our news gathering partners IndyStar.
