IPS employees charged with failing to report sex abuse allegations set to be in court

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two Indianapolis Public Schools employees, who face charges for failing to report sex abuse allegations against a counselor, are set to be in court Tuesday morning.

Lela “Tina” Hester and Shalon Dabney face misdemeanor charges for failure to make a report. Prosecutors say they were aware of allegations that counselor Shana Taylor was having sex with two students at Longfellow Alternative School, but waited six days to report it.
