Man charged in South Bend crash to be arraigned


SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – A man charged in connection with a serious crash that injured 8-year-old twins in South Bend, is due in court for his arraignment Monday.

A car flipped over during a police chase October 12 near Bulla and Wilber Streets.

Irwin Scott, 27, was a passenger in that vehicle. He took over the wheel when the driver stepped out to speak with police.

Officers had pulled them over because their headlights weren’t on.

Scott is charged with two counts of failure to remain at the scene of the accident and one count of resisting arrest, all of which are felonies.
