Muncie police union wants more officers on the street as crime increases

MUNCIE, Ind. – A police union in Muncie has begun advocating for more officers in the city as crime continues to increase.

President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Chris Deegan, said there is more crime than officers can handle.

“We need help. There is no doubt about it, we absolutely need help,” said Deegan. “That’s the only way we can turn from reactive to proactive and combat the drug problem that will help combat the violent crime increase we are seeing.”
