South Bend LGBTQ Center to celebrate Pride Month

South Bend, Ind. (WNDU) — The LGBTQ Center is kicking off ‘Pride Month’ celebrations in South Bend on Friday night.

A youth pride dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at Chicory Cafe for teens ages 13 to 18. There is no entrance fee, and it will be chaperoned. A valid photo ID is required for entry.

Meanwhile, a unity and pride rally will take place on Sunday at the LGBTQ Center on Mishawaka Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m. There’s also going to be a block party on July 8 from 3 to 6 p.m.

The group says they will close down Michigan St. between Washington and Wayne. A 21 and over after party will be held at Woochi Japanese Fusion and Bar from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
