Ten Point Coalition expands to seven new communities

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – The Ten Point Coalition will soon be expanding to more cities across Indiana, trying to make the streets safer.

The leader of the Indianapolis chapter of the anti-crime group says seven more cities want to start their own chapter of group and the list keeps growing.

Right now, it includes Evansville, Fort Wayne, Gary, Louisville, Nashville, Kokomo and Muncie.

Rev. Charles Harrison, says their “boots on the ground” approach has been proven to work, reducing violence in some of the neighborhoods with a high crime rate.

He’s already met with leaders from other towns to help them create their own models starting in 2018.
