Trump’s food stamp cuts will hurt Hoosiers, groups say

The 2018 budget proposed by President Donald Trump would hurt the nearly one million Hoosiers facing hunger, according to Feeding Indiana’s Hungry.

Trump’s plan calls for significant cuts to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as food stamps, specifically $190 billion over 10 years and 45 billion means lost.
