Urban Meyer to retire at the end season

The Ohio State University athletics department has announced head football coach Urban Meyer will retire at the end of the season.

The Buckeyes — newly crowned Big Ten Champions — will play in the Rose Bowl Jan. 1 against Washington. Meyer will retire after that game.

Meyer will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. Tuesday to make the official announcement.

According to our sister station 10TV, offensive coordinator Ryan Day take over head coaching duties Jan. 2.
